I came across Alicia's name when on a 9/11 website, looking for someone my age from San Francisco. Then, I was pointed here. I just want you to know that Alicia's a very lucky woman. She has many people who love her and dedicate this wonderful website to her. Reading Alicia's father's words on a "Father's Grief" and the life of Alicia made me cry more than once because all the words were so heartfelt and wise. It sounds like a lot of Alicia's wisdom, love and spiritualness came, in part, from her father.
I cannot imagine the grief over the past years for your family. What truly amazes me is your act of forgiveness. It takes a very strong and admirable person to be able to accomplish this act. You can tell there is a lot of love around this family. This love, this bond, allows Alicia to stay close to you. You are truly an amazing family and you can tell Alicia had more love in her short life than most people can only dream of. She is with you always, bringing smiles to your faces when you remember her life's moments. From what I've gathered, she wants to be remembered for those moments.
Thank you for turning this day of grief into a day of happiness. I have learned that out of grief there is rejoice and love through memories of such a kind spirit.
Wishing Your Family the Best, Kimberly
